New kit from Designs by Snowlady

Good morning all! A quick post to let you know that Designs by Snowlady has a new kit out. Flock of Flamingos was the STS anniversary freebie this past Sunday, but if you didn't get it then, you can still get it at the STS store . And it's only $1.50 for the rest of the month (that's 50% off!)!! So here is the preview:

The kit's theme is based on a (typically southern) tradition of "flocking" someone's yard (with plastic pink flamingos) for their birthday or some other event. But as you can see from my LO below, the kit is perfect to scrap girly moments, too:

It's a super fun kit. So head over to STS and grab it before it goes back to regular price and get scrappin'!

$2 Tuesday at STS

Busy day, so I'd better get this up now or you won't be reading about $2 Tuesday until Wednesday. LOL

Designs by Snowlady has two fun kits in the $2 bin this week. First up is the awesome "Shine". I LOVE the colors in this kit and it has amazing versatility:

See what I mean...fabulous! She also has a super-fun racing-inspired kit called "Start Your Engines". This is a HUGE weekend if you're a race fan...the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 are both being run this weekend! This would be a great kit to scrap any pictures if you're going to either of the races (and if you are, I am TOTALLY jealous!!!). It's also great for Pinewood Derby, local races, or just crazy little boys and girls racing their Hot Wheels (yes, I have one of those boys). So here it is:

Well I'm off to start my day, but don't forget you can get these goodies for $2 today only in the STS $2 bin!

New release x 2!!!

So I told you earlier this week that you would not want to miss coming back today to see what Scrappy Cocoa has released this week. Well, Steph has outdone herself with not one, but TWO cool new releases. First off is a collab she did with fellow Gingerbread Ladies Pixels by Jen and Wyld Web Designs called Music Class. It's great for anything music related...concerts, band and choir classes, and I've even seen some American Idol layouts out there! LOL So here is Music Class:

You can find it at the Gingerscraps store . I love all the different instruments and note elements and the papers are so fun!!! So here is my pseudo-layout:

And yes, it's lacking a photo. LOL My oldest won't start band until the Fall, but I loved this kit so much I wanted to play with it right away. And he's going to play sax too, so the sax sticker is AWESOME!!! Go grab it and start playing!

Now the next thing I have to show you is one of the coolest things I've seen in scrapping recently. I'm a relative newbie, but have dabbled in scrapping for awhile. I use PSE9 and am still learning all of it's tricks. I guess one of the things you AREN'T able to do with it is create text on a path. Well, Stephanie has fixed that for all of us PSE9 users (and for anyone else who wants the EASIEST, most FUN way to play with text paths). They're so cool, I can't really even think of anything else to say, so I'll just show you. Introducing....TEXTYS!!!!

How cool are they!?!?!? They are so fun to play with, too. The possibilities for using them are almost endless. You can use any font/color, decide what you want to say, and away you go! You could repeat a name that starts with one of the letters, you could find a list of words to describe someone/something, I wrote little "stories" to each of my boys using the first letter of their names:

Easy, fun, awesome...what more could you ask for?! So head over to Gingerscraps or The Studio . And for a limited time they're 25% off!! Get 'em now!!! Oh, and if you HURRY over to Steph's blog , you'll not only find some more LOs using Texty's and Music Class, but there is a limited-time only freebie of Texty shapes!!!
They'll go into the store soon, so grab it now. With all this awesomeness, I KNOW you'll have a busy scrapping weekend!!!

If not, here it is: buy any 3 or more BAK pieces at $1.99 each, use the code MAY_BUY3_SAVEHALF at checkout and you save 50% off your BAK purchase! That means you could get all 3 of the pieces above for $2.99! AWESOME! So what are you waiting for? Head on over and pick them up! While you're there, don't forget that STS is celebrating two years of scrapbooking goodness for the rest of the month of May. In addition to the sales running in the store, there are gifts, contests, and prizes going on the blog. Check it out HERE for all the goodies!

New blog, new job!

Hey howdy hey! Welcome to my NEW home on the web. I am starting fresh because I am also starting new things in digiscrap-land. I am so excited to announce that I have been offered positions on Snowlady's and Scrappy Cocoa's CT teams! I love their work and am looking forward to digging into it further, and getting to know all of my new CT team-mates! I'm going to do my best to get some more info and links up later today, but I wanted to get this first post up to announce my good news! Thanks for following and happy scrapping! (And thanks to Misty & Stephanie for the opportunity!!)
